Sodium percarbonate is a chemical substance with formula Na2H3CO6. It is an adduct of sodium carbonate ("soda ash" or "washing soda") and hydrogen peroxide whose formula is more properly written as 2Na2CO3-3 H2O2. It is a colorless, crystalline, hygroscopic and water-soluble solid. Sodium percarbonate is used in some eco-friendly bleaches and other cleaning products, and as a laboratory source of anhydrous hydrogen peroxide. Sodium Percarbonate (SPC) powder is called solid hydrogen peroxide, it is oxidant produced by Sodium Carbonate (Na2CO3) and Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2), its water solution is alkaline. It is white crystal powder, it releases oxygen in the presence of water.

It has several applications in cleaning products and detergent formulations including heavy duty laundry detergent, all fabric bleach, wood deck bleach, textile bleach and carpet cleaner. Other applications are in personal care formulations, denture cleaners, pulp and paper bleaching process, and certain food bleaching applications.

Due to the unsatisfactory storage stability of the uncoated sodium percarbonate in warm/moist surroundings and in the presence of certain detergent and cleaning agent components, percarbonate must be stabilized against the loss of active oxygen. An essential principle of stabilization involves encasing the percarbonate particles in a coating of components having a stabilizing action. Here comes the definition: the coated sodium percarbonate is the crystals coated with single or multiple layers of various substances in order to increase active oxygen stability and optimize storage and ensiling properties. Sodium Percarbonate (SPC) powder has advantages of non-toxic, smell-less and no pollution, also have bleach, antibacterial, detergency, good solubility even in cold water, it comply with the developing direction of detergents.
