Benzyl chloride, or α-chlorotoluene, is an organic compound with the formula C6H5CH2Cl. Industrially, benzyl chloride is the precursor to benzyl esters. Benzyl chloride may be used in the synthesis of amphetamine-class drugs. Benzyl chloride also reacts readily with metallic magnesium to produce a Grignard reagent. It is used in the manufacture of certain dyes and pharmaceutical products and as a photographic developer.

Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with excess water for 15 minutes, lifting lower and upper eyelids occasionally.
