1,2,3 Benzotriazole or 1H-Benzotriazole is a hetrocyclic compound containing three nitrogen atoms, with the chemical formula C6H5N3. This aromatic compound is colorless and polar and can be used in various fields. Benzotriazole is a complexing agent and as such is a useful a corrosion inhibitor, e.g. for silver protection in dishwashing detergents and an anti-fog agent in photographic development. It is used in aircraft deicer and anti-ice fluid. Benzotriazole derivatives are found in pharmaceuticals such as antifungal, antibacterial, and anthelmintic drugs.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Do not use mouth-to-mouth method if victim inhaled the substance. Induce artificial respiration with the aid of a pocket mask equipped with a one-way valve or other proper respiratory medical device. Get medical attention.
